In 1906 we began with two banks, two cafes, a grocery and hardware store, a blacksmith shop, a hotel, two churches, a newspaper and our own doctor. There was much "railroad talk," but no results.
Now, here we are more than 100 years later and many things have changed. We are home to 110 of the finest citizens around. Our Village now has a police department and a community center offering senior meals. We now boast one grocery store, a set of gas pumps, a Baptist and Methodist Church, a post office, and our pride and joy, Grady Municipal School.
Our school houses Kindergarten through twelfth grade. Our dedicated staff, teachers and fine students have captured many honors. Trophy cases are brimming with awards for academics, FFA and sports. Our pride is evident as our newly constructed water tank insignia states "Home of the Grady Bronchos."
A progressive-minded Mayor and City Council make Grady a great place to live and work. Grant monies have enabled us to make many capital improvements over the last 10 years. Today, as in 1906, we realize our strengths to be our school, our people and our rural location.
